If I could, I would have by ~WindmillSlayer:iconWindmillSlayer:

...for you to sing the sound of water
until your voice is lost like the sycamores
to become another nymph
in the vain of echo
                      echo

and find your car keys
forgotten somewhere in the man-eating couch,
with seven cents, and all your left socks

that mountains would break
so you wouldn't trip into fall
like you always seem to do,

to never unfind yourself
despite how hard you try to,
and to remember what your name means

i would have for you
the night sky before electricity
so you could have your own galaxy
and no one would be the wiser

and a kiss for lips i miss like sunshine

Wow!! This is stunning and intense. Now I have to look through the rest of your stuff! Thanks so much for entering my challenge so brilliantly.

I especially loved -

to never unfind yourself
despite how hard you try to,
and to remember what your name means

because I've so been there. Eloquent words. Thanks again. :D

Well, I took a weird route with this, if you look closely, each stanza could be for different people on top of being for one person entirely, so maybe contemplate that for a moment, I tend to aim for layers in my pieces.
:iconwindmillslayer:
AND, thank you for adding my piece to the collection.
:iconkneelingglory:
I did notice that ;) It was a nice literary trick you employed very effectively.

Gorgeous!! I'm glad to see you back, and this is stunning. The emotion is so intense, and I particularly like the layered effect the stanzas add. The fourth stanza on is so beautiful- well all of it is, but that part really struck me!
